What is important to Norfolk Bees?

In deciding to become a full time beekeeper, I wanted to not only sell honey but also help other beekeepers that are still learning about beekeeping. Honey bees fascinate me and I am more than happy to share my passion with anyone that can benefit from it. My aim is to provide good, practical advice and to help people to enjoy beekeeping.

It's all about me ...

I started as a beekeeper after attending a couple of practical courses run by Master Beekeeper, John Everett of Applebee. It was mesmirising watching the bees in the hives work in a seemingly chaotic manner and still achieve so much. The more I see and learn, the more amazed I am. I am still adding to my hive collection and am also working towards becoming a BBKA Master Beekeeper. I have been quite lucky to learn from John, his experience and insight into the honey bees world has given him plenty of knowledge to answer my queries with.

Before becoming a beekeeper, I worked in information technology in companies around Norwich and laterly as a consultant. This was enjoyable but I felt it was time to change and learn something new.
